Had an interesting week last week. First, on wednesday, I think, one of my 3 500GB hard drives decided to die without prior warning, just up and dead. Thankfully there was nothing of value on that drive so its only a minor anoyance. Im getting a 1TB hdd to repace it this comming wednesday.

On Friday, I was able to pick up a copy of Poser 8 from Smith Micro's website for only $2!!!!! How sweeet is that! I have to admit, I am liking the new GUI to a dedree (even though its still the classic way of doing things). Only thing Im not liking is how they did the contnet (library) portion of it, but I can live with it! In terms of Poser, its a breath of fresh air compared to Poser 5. I will be playing around with Indirect lighting and Dynamic Clothes in P8. And though I never thought I'd say this, I can see myself doing a render or two in it as well. But, as the saying goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Smith Micro has a long hard road ahead of them if they want to properly compete with DAZ3D's Daz Studio (and get me to stop rendering it DS)
